Ormal Trick of West Linn and Mrs Virgil Trick and fam ily of Dallas. The occasion hon ored Mrs. Elsie Trick on her 79th birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Brown are announcing the birth of a daughter in a Salem hospital Friday, December 4. The new arrival weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and has been named Vicki Kolette. She is the first grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Monroe. Mehama, and paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Foster Brown, Todd. N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Edwards and two children of Mill City were Sunday evening guests at the Gerald Rockwell home. Sunday visitors at the Charles Crook home were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Goodell and family of Stayton and Mr. and Mrs. Clif- ford Crook and Greg of Mill Oty. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Branch left by plane Friday evening. December 4 for Hawaii where they planned on spending sev eral days touring the islands. They will fly from there to Tokyo, Japan, where they will spend the Christmas holidays with their son, Dean and his wife. Dean, who is a specialist fourth class, has been in that city with the Army’s security branch for more than a year, was joined by his wife last Jan uary. The Branch's plan on re turning home about December 31 and will fly back over the northern route, via Alaska. Mrs. Florence Darling came from Tillamook the last of the week to stay in the Raymond Branch home while they are gone. Mrs. Walter Johnson and Mrs. Bonnie Wagner were hostesses for a birthday dinner Wednes day evening, December 2. cele brating the birthday anniver saries of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Smith. Present for the dinner were the honor guests, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Mrs. Clara Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Art Andersen.
