Event at Lyons Ply Plant
PORTLAND, November 14-—Simpson Logging Com«

its Lyons Plywood Plant with an open house for em

Families will tour the plant in the evening thus
getting a chance to see where Dad works and also will
receive the traditional Thanksgiving turkey given by
the Company from Guy Hartle, plant manager.
er. Not only that, the truck
caught fire and when Mr. and
Mrs. H. A. Harris of Salem
stopped at the scene the fire
was burning near the gasoline
tank and one tire was ablaze.
Harris summoned help from De

station.
They
brought a fire extinguisher and
put out the fire before he re
ceived any bums. Clyde Storey
of Idanha was called and used
a cutting torch to cut away the
metal holding Franklin a pris

so he could be pulled free of the
wreckage.
The vehicle owned by A. T.

Idanha with a load of cement
for a veneer plant in the area.
