Guests last week at the Jack Carey
home were Mr and Mrs. LeRoy Wal­
lace of Portland. Mrs. Wallace is a
niece of Mrs. Carey and both she
and her husband are tea. hers in the
Portland schools.
Bob Herman, who has served in the

back in Mill City and plans to make 1
his home here if he can find work.

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Brent spent

teresting places in Eastern Oregon.
While away they did a lot of fishing
and Larry said Saturday that it was
the best fishing trip he had had for
25 years They brought home their
full limit of fish from the outing.

Mrs. Earnest Copeland and children
visited at the Louis Rada home last
week, Mr Copeland coming for his
family Sunday to return them to
their home at Springfield Mrs. Cope­
land has been assistaing with the
care of her father, Louie Rada, who
is seriously ill.

City re-ident. now living in Seaside,
has had another stroke and is in bed
at the present time. Mrs. Veteto said (
they would be forced to leave their !
jobs at Seaside as he would have to j
have considerable rest. His eyes have
been affected by the stroke. He had
-urgery on his eyes last year, and
had been getting along just fine

Theatre, “The
Twelfth Night.” The huge outdoor
thertre has been playing to capacity
crowds all season. The building itself,
which is at one end of the outdoor
ampitheatre. is a perfect replica of
old English theatres. The setting is
so perfect and the players so out-I
-tanding that for an evennig one is
transported back in time and thought. j
On the return trip they stepped at
Roseburg to view the recent fire and
explosion disaster. Some of the ruins
are still smouldering, although the
,,’ean-up work is progress.ng rapidly.
