Earharts Injured in Car
Accident on Sunday
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Earhart and ¿tins
Robert and Everett were involved in l
a serious auto accident Sunday on
| highway 213 near the Colton Inter
section. Robert was driving when the
nr in front of them suddenly turned
left, causing the Earhart car to crash
into it, although Robert swerved to
try to avoid the accident.
Mr. Earhart and Everett received
severe head injuries with other
members of the family just shaken
up. A registered nurse happened to
be in a passing ar and gave first
I aid. They were then taken to the
Oregon City hospital and are now
recovering at home.
Ironically, Mr. Earhart had been
laid up with a back injury for sev
eral months and w’as on his way' to
see about a job when the accident oc
curred. Their car was completely de
molished.
