Guests Mr and Mrs Eddie Evenson of Salem, a'- < David Evenson, youngest on f the Even Even-ons. who re cently returned from a world tour. Dav d has been manager of the miti- tary facility of the Bank of America in Yokohama, Japan for some. He also held a similar post m Sendai. Japan, Seoul. Korea and Aegna, Guam. He is on a three-month vacation and started his tour February 4. He stop ped at Hong Kong. Bangkok, Singa pore, Thailland, Istanbul, Athens, Greece, Zurich, Switzerland, Rome, Italy, and London. He visited his brother, Capt. Fred Evenson at Frankfort, Germany, also two aunts in Stockholm, Sweden. In Glasgow, Scotland he visited Mrs. Evenson’s brother, Allan Cook. After visiting a few days in Idanha he left for Klamath Falls to visit his three sisters. Later he will leave for San Franeisco, to check with the home office of the Bank of America con cerning his next assignment fur over seas duty. 1 A surprise personal shower was given in honor of Mrs. Dorothy Har- ’ris and Mrs. Audrey Williamson Thursday evening at the Idanha Fire Hall. They received many lovely gifts. The Deanha pre-school club also pre sented Mrs. Dorothy Williamson a lovely gift as outgoing president of the club. Hostesses were Mrs. Sylvia Wenke, Mrs. Pat Knopf, Mrs. Lydia Williamson, Mrs. Ruby Reed and Mrs. Dorothy Williamson. Mrs. Rose Youngblood and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Youngblood visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Benny Youngblood Sunday. Jim Wiley spent several days in Grants Pass last week. There will be a pre-school roundup at the Detroit school for all the par- ents that will have children in the first grade next fall. It will be in the school library at 2:00 p. m. on Fri day the 24th. The first, second, third and fourth grades made a field trip to Salem Friday. They left at 8:45 a. nt- and spent the day. A tour was made of Ria M i»tei Bread Co.’’ and Curley-' ■ Dairy. They received treats from both places. Later they ate their sack lunches than went skating.
