' Leia Barkley Has Interesting Flight Home In a letter received from Leia Kelly I Barkley by her parents she states that i the return trip to Manhattan, Kansas, was more eventful than her trip out I here two weeks before. Upon landing for the u«ual short stop at Denver, Colo., the passengers were informed that their flight had been cancelled, and that they had a choice of continu ing by Continental Plane or taking the train. Worrying about her hus- bmd meeting her and the baby in Kansas City, Mrs. Barkley decided I to take the Continental—which turn ed out to be a luxurv "Golden Carpet Flight.” Arriving in K. C an hour later than orginally scheduled, Leia found that Paul wasn’t there, as he had been informed the passengers were con- tinuing by train from Denver and wouldn’t arrive until the next day. Luckily, she knew a lady she could stay with in Kansas City, but upon arriving at her house she found that she had the wrong suit-case. As some one else had called the Terminal in the same predicament, the Airline sent out a man in a cab to straight en out the luggage problem. Paul made his second 120-mile trip to K. C. af ter his family on Friday, by which time the storm was over, and they arrived in Manhattan that evening.
