Former Mill City Girl Announces Engagement
Mehama Women's Club
Has Chrstmas Party
.MEHAMA The Mehama Women’*
club met at the club house Tuesday
evening December Id for their regu­
lar meeting and Christmas party.
Mrs. Raymond Bran h presided at
the short meeting during which it
was voted to send a donation of mon­
ey to the Children’* Farm Home for
Chri-tma*.
A musical program was presented
by Sheryl Webb, who played several
piano solos, Jacqueline and Yvonne
Bouche, who played a series of solos
and duets. An instrumental quartet
composed by Lloyd Savage, Rodney
Wilson, Kurt Kimsey and Dick Bil­
yeu played several number*.
After the meeting and program a
, gift exchange was held for the club
I members and gifts for the enter­
tainers were provided by the commit-
■ tee.
Hostesses for the evening were
Mrs. Art Anderson and Mr*. Harold
Longfellow who served refreshments
to the guest entertainers and Mmes.

Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor of Portland, former resi­
dents of Mill City this week are announcing the engage­
ment of their daughter Miss Evelyn Faith Taylor to A2c
Vernon Gene Starks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Starks
of Independence. Both Miss Taylor and Mr. Starks are
graduates of Central Hi in Monmouth-Independence.
Miss Taylor attended school here from 1948 to 1955.

ing party.’’ The group consisted of
