Christmas tree trimming time should be a time for joy and happi ness. Planning done before the tree is put up will insure that Christmas will come and go without any mis haps, say’s John W. Massie, I.inn county extension agent. Fo.lowing are several suggestions which any person can follow and keep safety the watchword: 1. Buy a fresh tree. Shake the three you intend to buy. If quite a few needles fall from it, chances are it has been cut for some time. 2 As soon as you get the tree home, saw off diagonally a portion of the trunk and place the tree in a pail of water. This will allow the trunk to take up this water and help greatly in preserving the tree. 3. When placing the tree in the home, avoid heat registeres, TV sets, fireplaces, stoves, or any location where heat is penetrated. Try if pos sible to keep the trunk immersed in water while in the house. 4. Never place a tree in front of a door or stairway where it may block an exit. 5 Avoid overloading electrical for as low as Anyone can insulate the avert age attic in one afternoon tor fi as low as $67 60 with Z' ve LITE.
