derson. Congratulations, boys.
John Henry and Frances Nesbitt
have been voted Boy and Girl of the
month of November. This is a very
high honor and we are' very proud
of Frances and John.
Two members of the speech class
have had hysterics within the past
week. This is no laughing matter!
What do you suppose they do in
class besides give speeches ?
At last! Our Student Body cards
have arrived. We are very nappy for
now we can prove we’re students.
The Seniors’ graduation pictures ,
have arrived.
The Honor Society pledged new
members at the Student Body meet­
ing Friday morning. Phyllis Pate,
Sheraen Muir, Rodney Schaer, Judi
Hoeye, Eddie Hirte, Marcia Barn-
|hardt, and Sharon Whitsett are the
proud, fortunate ones who made the
grade (s).

Patrick Altar Society with the meet­
ing at her home Thursday evening.

the 36 counties of Oregon, but se­
cond in amount of cropland.
Its 280,000 acres comprise six soil
type associations and produce more
than 70 kinds of crops.
Its lowest point is 210 feet above
sea level at Albany; highest, 10,523
at the peak of Mt. Jefterson.

The American Legion Auxiliary
met Tuesday night at the fire hall
' with RiUa Shaffer as hostess. There
were 12 members present. It was de­
cided to hold the January and Feb­
ruary meetings on the first and third
Wednesday nights instead of the re­
gular meeting nights.
The next meeting will be a Christ­
mas party at the fire hall December
16, with Sylvia Wenke as hostess.
Each member is asked to bring a gift
