Mrs. Eakin graduated from the Oregon College of Education in 14*57 where she received a Bachel or of Science Degree in elementary education. The past two summers she has attended summer school do ing graduate work in the field of physical education. While attending the Oregon Col lege of Education JoAnn was a member of the Collecto Coeds, a women’s service organization, and was elected Yell Queen her sophomore ■ year. Last year in addition to her teach ing she was advisor to the pep club, G. A. A. and junior class co-ad- visor. This year she is advisor for the G. A. A. and co-advisor for the sophomore class. Here he teaches General Science, Physics, Plane Geometry, Algebra I, and Algebra II with Chemistry being taught in alter nate years in place of physics. Educational preparation includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon College of Education, a fur ther year of studies in chemistry and the biological sciences at the same institution; and training in mathe matics at Armed Forces schools during World War II. This is the first full time teach ing position for Mr. Adams. His other paid teaching experience was that of a substitute teacher in the Salem schools. The "Sputnik to do” and conse quent raising of math and science requirements in our schools has caused increased enrollment in the.-' areas.
