weekend at his home here.

office open in Mill City Saturdays
only during the winter months.

Brian, spent the weekend vis ting
relatives in the Portland and Gresh-
am area.

Fish as hostess.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Draper motored
to Portland Sunday to visit at the
home of Mr. Draper’s mother, Mrs.
Jack Johnson, and also with Mr. and
M rs. Al Buenaman.

scheduled to leave Thursday for
Parks AFB, near San Francisco.

Airman Michael Podrabsky, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Podrabsky
wiites his parents that he had frac­
tured a knee while serving with
the Air Force at an Alaskan airbase.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Cole, son Fred,
and Charles McGee, of Salem, were
Sunday visitors at the Jay Masons.
At the Mason home this week is Mrs.
W. C. Taylor, who arrived here from
Seattle Monday.

Patty June Stewart and John J.
Payton, wish to take thia means of
inviting their friends to their wed­
ding Saturday, November 26 at 8
p. m. at the Presbyterian church in
Mill City. There will be a reception
following the ceremony.
According to Chuck Lovell, his
step-son, Richard Anderson, is now
with the U. S. Army in Korea. He
was originally at Fort Monmouth,
New Jersey, and attended electronics
school in Aberdeen, Maryland, fin-
ishing at the head of his class.
Jim Kesterson Monday proved
again that the North Santiam is a
good place to fish, and Mill City is
I as good as any place to fish the
river. He came out with an 18-inch
rainbow for his efforts. He said the
high water made it a good fight.
I A son was born to Mr. and Mrs.
¡William F. Shepherd. Jr., Tuesday
| afternoon at Santiam
Memorial
hospital. Paternal grandparents are
¡Mr. and Mrs. W. Floyd Shepherd,
and maternal grandparents

Minister and Mrs. Hugh E. Jull. The
new arrival tipped the scales at 8
pounds 15 ounces, and has been
named lx-Roy David.
Minister and Mrs. H. E. Jull were
pleasantly surprised at the Linger-
longer hour following the evening
¡service at the Christian church
Sunday evening by members and
friends present, who presented them
with a boutonniere and corsage, re­
spectively, an anniversary cake and
greeting card shower in honor
their 28th wedding anniversary.
