Burton Hprris and Dude Renner of Detroit were seriously injured early Sunday morning after their car swerved to miss a deer and overturned on the North Santiam highway east of Detroit. The boys were returning from Idanha to Detroit about 2 a. m. when the mishap occurred. They were taken to the Santiam Memorial hospit­ al in Stayton by ambulance. Five persons were injured here Fri­ day noon in a two-car crash on the North Santiam highway. The mishap occurred in front of the Lake Cafe when a car piloted by Jules Hill, en­ tered the highway from a side road, on the north side of the Santiam high­ way, in front of an east bound car driven by Honoras Ralphs of Aums­ ville. They were taken to the Santiam Memorial hospital at Stayton by I ambulance. Mrs. Ralph suffered a fractured jaw, their five-year-old son. ' Allen, received possible skull frac- ! tures. Mr. Ralph's and another son, j Lloyd. 10. received minor injuries, as did Jules Hill, driver of the other car. They were treated and released.
