ciety of Christian Service members
enjoyed a joint missionary meeting
with the Stayton Womens Society of
Christian Service, held at the Metho­
dist Church in Stayton. Thursday af­
ternoon. Mrs. Ray Nye, Stayton, and
Mrs. Alice Huber, Lyons, are sercetar-
ies of Missionary Education and Ser­
vice.
The afternoon speaker was Mrs. J.
H. Baldwin from Corvallis. She talked
on the Mary J. Johnston hospital at
Manila in the Philippine Islands, and
was a nurse there when the Methodist
hospital was first built.
Those attending from Lyons were
