Dear Sir; I would like a subscription to your paper sent to my mother, Mrs. L. W. Lamoreaux, Kerrville, Texas, Take- It-Easy Trailer Park. She was the former Grace Taylor of Mill City. For a number of years after leaving Mill City she lived in Soap Lake, Washington. She and her husband owned and operated a drug store and the Sun Lakes News Stand in Soap Lake. After several years of hard work they decided to have a real vacation and did a years travel ing across the states and eventually landed in San Antonio, Texas. About two years ago they bought another drug store in Kerrville, Texas. Last December she lost her husband. Mrs. Lamoreaux has spent the past six weeks visiting in Lebanon with her son, Robert Taylor, and daughter, Mrs. Severt Satrum, and daughter Mrs. Ciil ID Veg- base 6 79c □UUl Meat base 6- $1 PEAS 5 f"r $ 1 Libbyr, 303 size ..ix 79c FLOUR Shortening MILK mA iDall cans 2 Cans 25c i I Larry Debus and their families. Her daughter Elsie came with her husband from Hyder, Alaska, to be with her during her months vacation. Elsie’s husband is one of the bosses for Wes tern Woods Products in Stewart, B. C., Canada, while Margaret’s husband owns and operates a logging truck. Of course most Mill City people know Bob as Santiam Electric. Mrs. Lam- oreaux’s youngsters were all bom in Mill City and lived there until married. During her visit in Oregon, Mrs. Lamoreaux made a trip to Mill City, tho so many she wished she had time to visit, she had so little time. She wished she could say a personal “hello” to all her old friends. Weather down south isn’t so grand just now what with temperatures in the 90’s, altho people down there live in air-conditioned stores and homes. The winters are more like our sum mers here. As she would put it, “ A bit of paradise on earth”. She has traveled by air both ways. Her fam ily put her on a plane in Portland and she was in Denver, Colo, before they were back in Lebanon. Please start her subscription with your next issue. Sincerely, Mrs. Severt Satrum.
