Mrs. Harold Pound, the outgoing president, finished up all old business and asked full support be given the new president, Mrs. Bert Morris in any way she may request it. She also asked that all her old committee chairmen turn over note and their work sheets to their ijwK, best GOOD / juut FRESH' ¿sa years and among it* highlights were talks by Mrs. Spil lers of Oklahoma, the outgoing na tional president; Mrs. Gordon Gose, Seattle, Pacific regional director, and flower arrangements by Mrs. Ho ward Kittel. Fort Worth, Texas, who is internationally known for her work. Mrs. Cora Burek of Albany was elected new director of the Santiam district of which Mill City is a mem- ber. Mrs. Schroeder, Grace Misner and i Rachel Olmstead served refresh ments to about fifteen members dur ing the social hour. The next meeting will be in July at the home of Mis. Mrs. Morris and Mrs. Pound gave a most interesting report of the state convention of federated garden clubs which they had attended in McMinnville on June 9. 10 and 11th. The bride-elect graduated from the local high school in 1952 and her fiancee graduated the same year from Stayton high school.
