Rev. W. D. Turnbull, Pastor.
By His deeds, by His teachings, by His desth upon
the Cross, Christ demonstrsted the duty and responsi
bility of Christians to shsre with their less fortunate
fellowmen.
Today aa we read our newspapers and listen to our
radios, we sometimes tend to disregard the need and
suffering in other parts of the world. Momentsrily we
may feel sorry, but it passes quickly as we return our
thoughts to personal affairs.
To help us become more aware of our opportunity
and responsibility for helping others, there has been
instituted "One Great Hour of Sharing," a united t
by America's churches to assist overseas relief. Nest
Sunday tens of thousands of churches will simultane
ously cooperate in this great plan at their Sabbath
services.
Through “One Great Hour of Sharing" millions of
destitute peoples will be sided and comforted Millions
will learn that because of the unselfish and understand
ing heart of America, there is for them hope of a
brighter tomorrow
And to America, "One Great Hour of Sharing'* will
bring the pricelesa blessing of spiritual enrichment
that rewards those who have obeyed these words: “Go
ye into all the world ... to every creature."
Won't you go to your Church on Sunday, and join
this gi eat effort?
