Mr. Tract is a USO entertainer and has just re turned from a tour in Korea Mrs. L. C. Davis and son John spent last week in Portland selecting Christ-1 mas merchandise for the Davis’ store and getting John ready for college. September IS, 1952 Mrs. Davis reports that she is stock ing the largest selection of Christmas gift items to be offered in their store Steven Toyson, who has just re turned,from Korea, is home on two week’s leave. Mr. and Mrs. James Riblin and Ket Burt spent the weekend in Castle Rock, Wash. • Mr. and Mrs. Molton Sprague of Portland visited at the home of Mr and Mrs. Len Davis the past weekend Mary Gordon and John Davis leave this week for Monmouth where they will enter OCE on scholarships re ceived during their senior year at De troit high school. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Stoll spent the weekend in Silverton visiting rel atives. Mrs. Frank Ray is reported to be making satisfactory progress after un dergoing surgery in St. Charles hos pital in Bend. Harry Meteor of Gates has opened the Spillway cafe for business. Mr. and Mrs. John Rone are vaca tioning in Arkansas. Marion Alderman and Earl Carte have established a trailer court in Ne« Idanha with trailers purchased re cently at Cairo Mongold. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ruday are vacationing in eastern Oregon and ex pect to attend the Pendleton Roundup Henry Hinch left Tuesday for a hunting trip in California.
