WILLIAM BENDIN as BABE Rl TH in p P o o Lyons Home Economics Club Plans For Festival The Home Economics club of the Santiam Valley grange held their meeting Tuesday afternoon at the club house in Mehama, and the time was spent in quilting. Leora Stevens was in charge of the business meeting, and Garnett Bassett, secretary. The main thought of the day was making plans for the annual harvest festival and bazaar which is to be held at the grange hall Saturday afternoon and evening, September 27th. Any one having exhibits must have them there at the hall by 10 o’clock in the morn ing. There will be fancy work, veget ables, fruits, bakery and cannery goods, Garnett Bassett, Anna B. Julian, and Leora Stevens will be in charge of the bazaar. Nina Dark, Eva Bressler, Elizabeth Taylor, Mae Patton and Ida Free is the kitchen committee, hamburgers, salad, pie and coffee will be served at noon, and a »1.00 a plate supper will be served. A meeting of all the chairmen of the various committees was held at the grange hall Tuesday evening to make final plans. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Leora Stevens, Oct. 13. Present for Tuesday’s meeting were Viola Zander, Garnett Bassett, Mae Patton, Jennie Bohanon, Bea Hiatt, Elizabeth Taylor, Bertha Basl. Leora Stevens, Nina Dark, Blanche Wagner, Lois Myers, Anna B.
