Faith Rebekah lodge held their reg­ ular meeting at the hall Wednesday evening, with Zoma Sischo, noble grand and Beulah Ix-wis acting vice grand due to the absence of Jean Roberts, presiding over the meeting. Reports of all committees were heard. Mrs. Madline Rossner of Gervais, past president of the Rebekah Assembly of Oregon accompanied by four other members of the Gervais lodge were guests of the evening. Mrs. Ro.-sner who is an official board member at the Odd Fellow home gave a very interesting talk regarding the home. A good report was given on the Three Links club bazaar and plans made for the next Three Links meeting. Bill Grimes who is with the Navy and stationed at Bremerton has been spending his leave with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Chester Grimes. Bob Brassfield who has been con­ fined to the Veteran’s hospital in Port­ land for the last two months under­ went major surgery Thursday morn­ ing, and is reported to be holding his own. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Walton and little daughter moved to Salem the first of the week. Where he will be em­ ployed bv the Mayflower milk com­ pany. The Waltons have been assist- ing the Thiels at the Thiel grocery. Mrs. Vaughn Hunt left Friday eve­ ning from Salem for Seaside, Calif., where she will join her husband, who is with the U. S Army and stationed at Fort Ord. Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Manning went to Scappoose Friday evening, where they will attend the wedding of her cousin Jackie Reister to be held Satur­ day morning.
