Mrs. Fowler sat down resolutely and on high during Thursday’s session of Gates Lucky Twelve pinochle club. Mrs. Marcie Peterson somehow did it again—won the pinochle prize twice running. Mrs. Rosella Haywood chugged home with the low prize. Thursday’s pinochle meet was under the capable supervision of hostess Mrs. “Toots” Blazek in her home. Dessert luncheon for the twelve Lucky ladies was jello whipped cream salad. Womans Club Honors Out-of-Town Guests Mill City Woman’s club Tuesday evening served another of their fam ous dinners. Honored guests for the dinner in the Mill City Presbyterian recreation hall were Judge and Mrs. Joseph Felton, Sheriff and Mrs. Den ver Young, and Mrs. R. W. Land of Salem. Judge Felton, judge of the circuit court of Marion county, department of domestic relations, gave an interest ing talk on the care of delinquent boys and girls of Marion county. Felton spoke convincingly in behalf of a building where these delinquents can be taken for care. Felton expressed the hope that provision for such a structure can come about by the vote of the people in the next election. Miss Ardith Jones and David Keyes Mrs. Bertha Baltimore entertained each played a piano solo for the enter in her home Monday noon with a tainment of some sixty club members birthday luncheon honoring Mrs. Eva and their guests. Miss Diane Peterson and Ray Steiner were the senior stu dent pianists from the Mill City area. Steiner played “American Patrol" by Meacham, and Miss Peterson, “Hungarian Rhapsody” by Liszt. The Mill City piano students appeared on a program which featured some 23 piano selections and several recita tions, special dances and group sing ing. The preceding Friday night a re cital of the beginner student pianists was held in the St. Mary’s school gym.
