The Christmas affair was held in the local Legion hall, Sunday, Dec. 18. Like similar pot-luck dinners—this holiday fete was pleasing to these who enjoy good foodstuffs of all kinds. John Muir put that “right touch" to the turkeys served the Legion-folk. The Legion furnished the birds; Muir baked them. Watkins, pastor of the Mill City Community church, an- nounced the beginning of revival meetings this week upon the arrival of his brother. Rev. J, S. Watkins from Long Beach, Calif. Rev. J. S. Watkins and his wife and three children will conduct meetings this weekend Friday, Sunday morning and evening. Next week meetings Wednesday and Thursday and Friday, also Sunday morning and evening services. According to Rev. W. W. Watkins, pastor of the local assembly, each service will be featured with special music consisting of vocal and instru- mental numbers. George Watkins, 9, widely known as the youngest gospel singer will be 13. featured in each service. Joann, . and Charlotte Watkins, 12, , will play the piano and accordian. Rev. Watkins invites the public to these meetings. Miss Sylvia Peterson Feted Friday by Birthday Party Miss Sylvia Peterson observed her ninth birthday, Friday, Dec. 14. by enjoying a party in her honor at her home. A number of Miss Peterson’s friends took part in the birthday cele bration prepared by her mother, Mrs. Don Peterson. Clever games and generous helpings of refreshments highlighted the after school party. Wishing Sylvia a happy birthday were Donna Hurd.
