EVA BRESSLER The Womens Society of Christian Service held their regular work day with an all day meeting at the club house. A pot-luck luncheon was served at the noon hour. The time was spent in quilting. Plans were also made and discussed for the tamale sale which will be held at the club house, Thursday evening, Novem ber 29. There will be a “silent auc tion” of fancy work, Christmas cards and wrapping for sale. There will also be vaniila on sale, the proceeds to go for a coffee urn. Mrs. Donald Huber complimented Mrs. Jim Phelps with a party in her honor held at the Huber home. The afternoon was spent informally after which Mrs. Huber served dainty re freshments to Mrs. Phelps the honored guest, Mrs. Eldon Mulkey and her mother, Mrs. Parrish of Silverton, Mrs. Merrill Brassfield, Mrs. Alex Bodeker, Mrs. Jack Dlggan, Mrs. Bob Carleton, and Mrs. Alice Huber. Mr. and Mrs. Emmett McCool from Silverton were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Pric hard and family, Mrs. Gladys Stiffler spent the week end in Roseburg. She was a guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy How ard. Mrs. Jim Kimery returned home Sunday after spending the week with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kimery at Mehama. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Stevevis were Mr. and Hrs. Glen Smith from Medford. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Lewis returned home Sunday after spending several days in Seattle, Washington, with her father, Mr. Peterson. They also visited friends while there. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Allen left for Midvale, Idaho, Saturday afternoon, where they will visit at the home of her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Fox. They expect to be gone a week. Gene Cornforth of Heppner, Ore- gon, spent several days at the home of his father, Mr. Jack Cornforth and grandfather, Allen Cornforth. Mrs. Inez Ring returned home Sun day evening after spending the week at the home of her grandson, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Trask in Portland. Don’t forget the tamale sale held at the club house Thursday evening, Nov. 29, sponsored by the Womens Society of Christian Service. Willard Hartnell returned home after spending a week with relatives in California. Hartnell is a planer man at the Mt. Jefferson lumber com pany mill. Traditional Thanksgiving dinners and family gatherings were held with many dinner parties being held at home and some going out of town.
