A. ’ <E/ _------ ------ ~ --------- IDANHA Oscar Chapman Will Address Hort Meet A speaking appearance by Oscar Chapman, secretary of interior, who will discuss co-ordination in resource conservation, will highlight the Ore gon state horicultural society’s sixty sixth annual meeting November 29 and 30 at Oregon state college. The announcement, made this week 1 v ''rnrd Snats, Medford, society presiilent, included the information that the cabinet member’s address will be given Thursday evening, Nov. 29 in the OSC coliseum. In co-oper ation with college officials, students and the public as well as members of the horicultural society are being in vited. President A. L. Strand of Oregon state college will also participate in the speaking program. Word from Washington, D. C. in dicates that the secretary will put particular stress on the necessity for i’ t'-rrelating all phases of conserva tion work. This is being carried on successfully in the department of in terior's river basin field committee Mr. and Mrs. Ted Gillespie were weekend visitors in the community. Ted and Alma were former merchants in Idanha and now live at Valley Junction. All donations of clothing for the Canyon Aid can be left at the Davis Dry Goods store in Idanha. Also pieces of wool usable for quilts can be used, these quilts are to be made up by the Willing Workers club and sent to Korean refugees.
