Wright was carrying part of a pav­ ing plant on the heavy truck. He was going east from Portland to Burns when the accident happened just above Idanha, Batie, superin­ tendent of the company, reported. The truck landed with wheels in the air and the George Stewart Wrecking Co. of Mill City righted the battered truck. Arnold Snyder returned home Sun­ day night after having spent the weekend in the Herman Payne home in Foster, Frankie Payne returned with him. Both returned to Foster, [Tuesday for the holidays. Mrs. Walter Reynolds went to Port­ land Saturday for a visit with her daugher. Mrs. Winifred Johnson, who is in the hospital recovering from I second-degree arm burns. Mrs. John­ son was burned from paraffin which caught fire while she was making jelly. Mr. and Mrs. K. O. Swanson left Friday for a two or three week vaca­ tion in Indiana. Mr and Mrs. Frank Ray are spend­ ing a week fishing at their cottage at Pauline lake. A school tax exceeding the 6 per cent limit by $10,904.10 was voted i at the election last Thursday night, by a vote of 12 to 0. After a three-week visit at the A. R. Snyder home, William Bodie returned to Seattle Saturday for another trip at sea. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Roberts and Gary left last week for Burk, Idaho, for a visit in the hope of Robert's cousin, I
