Mill City High
The Gates high school Pirates
sparked by their high scoring guard
Marlin Cole, defeated the Mill City
Timberwolvea before a capacity crowd
at the Gates high school gym Tues
day night.
It was an important league victory
for Coach Howard Means and crew
as well as the first win over Mill City
high in eight years.
Gates led all the way with Henness
Cole, and Zeibert commanding the
first half assault that ended 25-20.
Cole and Cline poured on the heat
for the Pirates in the third canto to
give Gates a comfortable lead of 39
to 25.
The tempo slowed early in the final
heat as the Pirates attempted a ball
control game, but the Timberwolves
bounced back to outpoint their taller
ppp.oit mts, with Moberg and Balt
more providing the spark.
Cole easily paced the scorers with
18 counters, and was followed by Bal
timore and Henness with 12 points and
11 points respectively.
