Mrs. Arnold Burgess of Klamath Falls spent the weekend at the home of her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bassett. She also visited her two sisters, Mrs. Arnold Syverson of Mill City and Mrs. Merl Devine of Gates. James Abel of Los Angeles, Calif., with his aunt, Mrs. May Swank, of Stayton visited friends in Lyons Mon day. Perry Clipfell who was called to service in the army reserves has re ceived his discharge and returned to his home. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Stevens went to Seattle Friday and Saturday and brought her mother, •, Mrs. Zander, home with them, She will move into the Charlie Bilyeu house which she recently purchased. Mr. and Mrs. John Westerberger have brought the little house belong ing to Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Good man. It is located across the high way from the Lindemann apartments. Miss Dean Thompson and Miss Vivian Boyce teachers at the Mari- Linn school returned Sunday evening after spending the Thanksgiving holi day with their parents. Bill Grimes oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Chet Grimes has enlisted in the U. S. Navy and is stationed at San Diego, California. Mr. and Mrs, Paul Johnston are driving a new Ford. They, with Car roll, Shirley and George left for Aber- den, Idaho, last week where they, will visit relatives.
