Following church services Sunday
morning at the Lyons Methodist
church, Rev. Jewell installed the of­
ficers of the Women’s Society of
Christian Service. Gladys Hargreaves
as president. Evelyn Julian as sec­
retary and Eva Bressler as treasurer.
Ethel Huffman, vice president who
was unable to be present will be in­
stalled later. Miss Caroline Cooper
from the Methodist Conference dis­
trict of Portland gave a short talk.
Following the church services a pot
luck dinner was held in the club
rooms.
At two o’clock a business
meeting of the Sunday school board
members was held with Miss Cooper
giving many useful instructions and
helpful hints for the betterment of
the Sunday school.
