Pink and Blue for
Courtnev Monday
Davis Shower Thursday
A lovely pink and blue shower was
held on Monday night of this week at
the First Christian church for Mrs.
Courtney, Jr Forty guests were
present.
The stork motif was carried out
as Mrs Brice Reigle and Mrs Wal­
ter Peterson gave a short drama on
the sorks visit A near life size
model stork was used in the event.
Mrs. Tom Shelton sang Brahms
Lullaby. Decorations were centered
around a "shower" umbrella with
the gifts placed nearby.
After the many lovely gifts were
opened coffee and cake were served.
Mrs. Tom Courtney Sr of Salem
poured. Many others who could not
attend sent gifts.
A shower honoring Mrs. Paul
Davis was given Thursday evening
at the home of Mrs. Albert Millsap
with Mrs. Norman Garrison. Mrs.
Floyd Völkel and Mrs. Harold Wil­
son assisting hostesses. Games ap
propriate to the occasion were
played with prizes awarded to Mrs.
Melbourne Rambo, Miss Carol Klee,
ker and Mrs. N. B. Peetz. Follow­
ing the opening of gifts by the guest
of honor, Mrs. Davis, refreshments
were served to Mrs. Theodore Bur­
ton, Mrs. Melbourne Rambo, Mrs.

SOCIETY
The Presbyterian Missionary so­
ciety met Wednesday afternoon at
the home of Mrs. Charles Kelly. Mrs.
W. W. Allen, vice president, presided
in the absence of the president. Mra.
Lester Hathaway. Dr. Ferguson, led
the devotions reviewing the book of
Genesis. Mrs. James Swan, program
leader, directed a stewardship pro­
gram Mrs. Donald Shythe sang.
