December 1, 1949 4—THE MILL CITY ENTERPRISE STORES get new front William Himing of McMinnville, owner of the building which houses Muir's Bakery, Stiffler’s Appliance and the Nu Method Cleaners, has begun construction of a new front on the structure. The high old "false front" has been torn down and a sloping roof will be built. The fronts of the bakery and the appliance store will be stuccoed with large plate glass panes in stalled. The bakery will use one large window for a baked goods dis play, and a 15-foot pane will give the appliance store a show window. MISS VIRGINIA JACKSON- HONORED WITH SHOWER Several friends gathered at the home of Mrs. James Swan on Friday evening when Mrs. Orville Odermann and Mrs. Harold Pound gave a bridal shower for Miss Virginia Jackson, whose marriage to Delmar Thomp son was a Saturday night event at the Christian church.
