DORALEE POUND HONORED BY FRIENDS W ITH SHOWER Mrs. Frank Jackson gave a shower on Monday night for Doralee Pound at the home of her mother. Present were Mesdames Chas. Dalezol. Art Robinson. C. H. Brewer, Joe Fencl, Howard Farmer, Roy Keirsey, H M Agee, Bessie Lyons, Grimes, Mrs. Harold Pound Jr, of Bend. Mrs. Lyons and Mrs Dalezol won prizes for games played and a sweet heart cake, was center of the refresh- ments served. Her school friends honored Doralee with a shower on Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Edith Mason. Mr. and Mrs. Ike Myers attended the wedding of Mrs. Myers nephew, Thomas A. Metzger of Gresham ’o Lois Lee Crabtree of Portland On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Myers visited with friends and rela tives in Gresham. Mr. and Mrs. W. A Billington of Jordan spent Tuesday night with their daughter Mi’s Bill Bickett and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ike Myers attended Farmers Union institute in Salem, Tuesday and Wednesday. On Saturday the Mehama local and two other locals had to serve lunch to all the members of the other locals of Marion county. Earl Ragsdale has recovered from bronchial pneumonia and is back on his job. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wilson of Albany visited at the Frank Caraway home Sunday. Mr and Mrs L. C. Chance visited his mother Mrs. M. J. Chance in Al bany Saturday where she is a patient at the Powell nursing home. Mr and Mrs. L. A. (Verna) Fors- man and Miss Frances Caraway of Portland visited their parents Mr. and Mrs Frank Caraway Sunday. Mrs M. Miller of Salem visited Mrs. L. C. Chance Wednesday. Mrs. Miller is the mother of Mrs. Velma Carey of Gates. Curt Rue was treated in Salem Memorial hospital Wednesday for an injured right hand, which was badlly cut by glass. The hand was placed in a cast. The Albany Folk Dance Sponsors will hold their monthly folk dance party on Friday.
