The Mill City fire department res
ponded promptly to a call for help
from here last Wednesday when the
large tent house of Mr. and Mrs.
Barney Ryan caught fire from an
: overheated stovepipe.
The blaze was hard to reach be
cause it was burning in the top of
the canvas roof which counldn’t be
scaled.
But Harry McKey (who is short
and plump) climbed up on a table
and Ge aid Garrison (who is tall and
skinny) stood on hie shoulder and
beat out the flames with a wet sack
before the firen.cn arrived.
Damage was confined to a large
hole in the canvas.

FIFTH ANNUAL
• True, that "little illnees”
you've been mentioning in
■ n offhand way, may nCt
seem to amount to much—
just a few faint symptoms;
But, neglected, these "little
ills” can lead to big bills for
doctors, medicines, etc; not
to mention needles, suffering
and loss of precious time;
Consult a Doctor now—
you'll save by it in the ends
And, of course, we hope you’ll
bring his prescription to us
for careful compounding;
