Mr. and Mrs. Ace Johnson and fam ily spent the week end in Washing ton. Mr. and Mrs. Jim St. Clair spent the holidays in Oswego. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilson and Mrs. Fred Butler motored to Eugene Tues day. Mr. and Mrs. Dorland visited in Roseburg. G. E. Davidson and wife spent the holidays at Crater Lake. It was also their wedding anniversary. Newcomers are John Sharp and Homer Pogue. Mr. Pogue is connect ed with the army engineeis. Fred and Jean Wilson spent a busy Labor Day painting their patio and fence. John Sharp is connected with the Gates clearing . Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Hamm went to the fair in Salem Monday. Lynn Johnson and family returned from eastern Oregon Monday eve ning. Santiam Trailer Court. The Santiam Tiailer Court, located in Gates in a grove of trees south of Gates General store, was formerly known as the Morrison Court. It is now owned by Mr. and Mis. Floyd Völkel and managed by A. T. Barn hart. Six new trailers moved into the camp over the week end, which, add ed to those already there, makes it one of the largest camps in this aiea. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn motored to Portland over the week end to visit relatives and friends. Mr. and Mis. Wilson Park were guests of friends in Salem over Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. Park and three children have been residents of the couit for several months. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Barnhart had as their guests over the holidays his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Graber Bar McCulloch Chain Saws Sales & Service and Russell of San Luis Obispo, Cal. At the Hoyt home now are Mrs. Hoyt’s mother, Mrs. Lesta Allen and two sisteis, Mrs. Ruth Jadwin and Mrs. Roy Linquist and Mr. Lindquist. All attended the wedding of Mrs. Hoyt’s niece, Doris Momhinweg, in Albany Sunay. Mr. and Mrs. eJrry Pittam and daughters Sheny and Patty took the Gordon children and Snyder boys to Breitenbust Monday for a swim and picnic supper. Mr. and Mrs. Geoige Cannon and family are visiting relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Ottis Floyd and fam ily moved to Lebanon Sunday where Mr. Floyd has employment. Fred Rose, of Salem, young bio- ther of Mrs. Lloyd Girod, has been at the Girod home the past week. He will return to his home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Forest and family and Mis. Ella Key, all of Me- hama, were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gulliford and sons. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hallford and daughter spent Labor day in Wil lamina with Mis. Hallford’s relatives Mrs. James McKinney who has been i suffering with an abcessed jaiw, had it treated in Salem Saturday and is much relieved. Mr. and Mrs. Buck Story and three daughters weie week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. Poole and family In Astoria. Mrs. Poole was Idanha’s act ing postmaster some time ago. Mr. and Mrs. Frank New and daughters Eva Lou and Sally weie camping and fishing at East Lake during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Pittam were business callers in Salem Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Heniy Hiebert took their son, Harold, out to the doctor Saturday evening. Harold is trying to cut teeth. He and Mrs. Hiebert re mained in Dallas Sunday and Mr. Hiebert motored with friends up into Canada. The family returned home Monday evening. Even Evenson and Mrs. E. B. Witt of Englewood, Calif., were united in marriage in Los Angeles Saturday, August 27. They and Mrs. Evenson’s small daughter arrived at their home last Saturday evening. A group of friends and co-workers char ¡varied the newlyweds Tuesday night. Mrs. Reynolds followed by bus Saturday, returning Monday. Mr. Reynolds remained in Portland fora longer visit. They were guests of Mrs Johnson, daugheei and sister of the Reynolds. Mr. and Mrs. Addie Evenson elft Friday night for California where they were guests for the week end of relatives. Week end guests at the Louis Joyce horn' ewere Mr. and Mrs. Glen John son of Portland. Mr. Johnson is Mrs. Joyce’s brother. Miss Isabel Cobb of Kelso, Wash., and Fred Brubaker were mairied in Kelso last Saturday. Mrs. Brubaker is spending the week end here with her husband. She will ieturn next week to her position in a eKlso hos- pital. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Barhan Mr. Barhan drove through fiom chigan to the Ford Harvey home, ar riving Saturday. They came by way of North Dakota to visit Mis. Bar- han’s relatives and stopped at Yel- lowstone Park on the way. Mr. Bar- han will remain here. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bai han will fly back next Saturday. Leonard is a son of Mrs. Ford Harvey.
