He was taken by ambulance to Bend where he was giv en treatment, and was kept there for two days for observation. Mrs. L. C. Davis spent the week end in Bend as a guest of Dr. and Mrs. Vandeivort. She was accompan ied home by her son, John, who had just returned from a visit to Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Spath at Alturus, Calif. FILE PAPERS, VETS TOLD A spot check of courthouses by the Oregon Department of Veterans Af fairs reveals that many war veterans have neglected to record their mili tary discharges. The bureau advises ■hem to do this as a safeguard in the event of loss of their official papers.
