The pot luck dinner of the Idanha
Sunday school was a huge success.
Eighty-six were present at Sunday
school with more for the dinner and
the film in the afternoon.
Mrs. Wairen Stahl and son and
Mrs. Carl Schaffer and Mrs. Albert
Snyder were in Salem on business
Thursday.
Mi. and Mrs. Lloyd Girod enter­
tained- Saturday night for a number
of friends.
Many in the community are suf­
fering from severe colds and chil­
dren’s diseases. Could be the change­
able weather.
Business took Jerry Pittam and
Lloyd Giiod to Salem Friday.
Carl Schaffer is much improving
the appearance of his house, occu­
pied by Homer Thacker and family,
with new -siding. Barney Johnson is
assisting him.
Mrs. Warren Stahl entertained 12
children Saturday afternoon, honor­
ing her daughter, Becky, on her 7th
birthday. Games and records were
enjoyed. Ice cream and cake were
served to Buddy Brown, Dolores
Gescher. Larry, Shirley and Doug
Anderson, Butch and Claudia Fry,
Sharon Thorton and LeRoy Hamil­
ton. Mrs. Bill Hamilton assisted the
hostess.
Fifteen members met at the Sny­
der residence to .<^lect the cast for
the PTA play. The cast was chosen
and rehearsals are under way.

hopes to be home for a few days soon

A 4-H Club leaders meeting was
held at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Paul Johnston. Plans wete made for
the 4-H Clubs to furnish the pro­
gram at the PTA meeting Friday.
About 80 members will present a
series of tableaus-nhowing what each
club is doing. There also will be a
musical program.
Plans were made for a paity
for achievement day May 11.
The silver tea sponsored by the
Women’s Society of Christian Ser­
vice was held in Rebekah Hall. Pre­
sent were guests from Stayton, Mill
City and Mehama. Mrs. (Tiarles Pow­
er sang two vocal nunrl\ -s. Mrs. Ev­

music. A table discussion was led by
Mrs. Lester Hathaway and Miss Geo­
