The Fee Fee Baptist Church at Pat­
tonville. St. Louis County. Mo., erect­
ed In 1828, Is the oldest church west of
the Mississippi River. It was founded
during the administration of Zenon
Trudeau, Spanish commander of St.
Louis.
Rev. Thomas Musick was the first
pnstor, and he remained In charge of
the church till 1842.
In 1876 a new
building was erected on the St. Charles
Rock Road, and Ilev. William Barnes,
the present pnstor. was installed. The
old building wns abandoned, but some
of Its timbers were used In th« new
structure.
