HI I'l’LKMKX'r.-- Julv 1’2 1901.
Pratt, of the Forest Grove Tinies,
reads bis people a good lecture in his
paper on the importance of conducting a
picnic in a business way. From all the
reports from the late soldiers’ reunion at
that place, there was considerable mis
management and confusion.
We are sorry to hear that thousands
of small army worms have again made
their appearance in the clover fields ami
they are beginning to he seen in gardens.
Still opinion is divided, some continuing
to think that they will not be as raven
ous as they were last year, while others
think they will paralyze the clover crop.
—Tillamook Headlight.
Our cheese factory is doing a thriving
business.
They receive about 1800
pounds of milk daily, and today they
ship 40 boxes or about 2400 pounds of
cheese. We are glad to see the farmers
taking such an active interest in the
cheese factory. This is only one of thq
many industries that Sheridan should
have ..
A. H. Thomas met with quite
a severe accident Thursday. While rid
ing from the park to town on a bicycle,
he went to turn out of the road to let a
lady on horseback pass, when the han
dlebar slipped throwing him under the
horse’s feet, receiving a bruise on the
head and a mashed finger. Mr. Thomas
came out lucky that the injuries were
not more severe than they are.—Sheri
dan Sun.
