bership in the Cumberland Presbyterian
church last Sunday. There are several

Friendship Rebekah lodge will have
degree work at the next meeting, April

turns to thoughts of a new organ or piano.

Two new hydraulic barber chairs of
the latest style, have been placed in the
shop of Logan Bros., by the enterprising
proprietors.
The McMinnville Fence Works have
moved into the room formerly occupied
by the postoffice. C. C. Jacobs is in
charge of the business.
A surprise party was given L. L. Cook
at his home west of the college last Fri­
day evening. About thirty of his friends
were present, and all report a gooti time.
T. E. Conner, who went to Spokane
last fall to undergo medical treatment,
returned to his home near Whiteson this
week, very much improved in Health.
Yamhill lodge No. 10 D. of H. initiated
18 new members in one bunch last Fri­
day evening, and afterwards partook of
an elegant banquet. This raises the
membership of the lodge to near 180.

iting at M. E. Hendrick's store will be
served with a dish of Wheatine prepared
by a lady’ demonstrator, free.
Mrs. Henry Bills and children came
down from Dallas during the week, on a
visit to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. C.
Burns. They will leave in a few days to
join Mr. Bills, who expects to engage in
business in Union, eastern Oregon.
Miss N. Bennett, who is demonstrator
for ttie Empire Milling Co.’s Wheatine,
is serving that delicious breakfast food at
the grocery department of the Grange &
Farmers’ store. Wheatine is one of the
leading breakfast foods on the market.
