Newton Dubbs, chairman of the foreign mission work of the United Evangelical church, with his wife and son, Master Homer Dubbs, who are on their way to China as missionaries, were here on Monday night, and had a very large congregation. Rev Bowersox and wife of Dayton attended. C. M. Pierson and wife came up from Portland last week to see Mr. Burbank and assist in waiting upon him. Mr. Pierson returned on Monday, but his wife remained to help fake care of her uncle, who is very low. He came near passing away, but at present writing has rallied and is slightly improved.
