M Wardle, barber, of this city, filed a petition in voluntary bankruptcy od the 8lh inst. in the United States district court. Mr. and Mrs. George Wright left on Saturday on their return home to Lib erty, Neb , after a six weeks’ visit with relatives here. Smith, druggist, was arranged before City Recorder Joseph Wilson on Thursday, on a charge of selling liquor in violation of a city ordinance, the com plaining witnesses being S. J. I.«shier and Luther Charles. Attorneys Clarence Butt and Jack Spencer appeared f »r Smith, and W. T. Vinton for the city. As Lashier failed to show up when the case was called, the trial was put off for twenty days.
