Whiteson loses two good citizens when they move away. Thanksgiving service» will be held here on the 30tli. Norval Atkina still retains his position as station agent here and is a general favorite with all. It is to be hoped he will be placed here permanently. J. Frank Fottch, dramatic artist, will give an entertainment in the church Monday evening. He comes well rec ommended and the program promises to be very interesting. Mrs. John Campbell of Ballston visited her son Roderie Campbell of this place. Mr. Oliver Newton of Canton, Illinois, who has been visiting his brother John Newton for some time, returned home last Monday. Mr. Alfred Muiioc ac companied him for a short visit at his old home. Last Wednesday Mr. Will Lacy of Whiteson, and Miss Bessie Holmes of McCoy, were united in marrage at tie residence of the bride’s parents in Polk county.
