sponsibility for sickness on the war

the secretary of war spoke of our un­
preparedness for war, and of the
necessity of seasoning soldiers before
sending them to Cuba, the yellow

and troops were hurried to Cuba to
overcome.almost unprecedented ob­

tory. The poor fellows are coming
back to us sick unto death, just as

would, but they bore their part in
the victory that brought the war to
a close. A grateful country, ap­
preciating all that they have done
and all that they are suffering, will
do for them everything that a grate­
