We have just received from far-away Ceylon
a consignment of Teas from the celebrated Kusa-
lana plantations.
In the great Tea-drinking countries of Bussia
and England Ceylon teas have entirely superseded
the products of China and Japan by reason of their
Cleanliness, Purity, Strength.
These teas are prepared iu the cleanest possi
ble manner, being picked by the natives with
gloved hands and passed through modern machin
ery under the supervision of the white planters,
whilst the China and Japan teas are manipulated
by the coolies with their hands iu the same old
way as they were 100 years ago. The success of
Ceylon teas has been so phenomenal that Great
Britain alone uses one hundred and ninety million
pounds annually, or four and a half million liquid
gallons daily, which will not be a circumstance to
what the United States will consume when its peo
ple realize the vast superiority of these teas.
As a Matter of Economy also
these teas should always be used by the careful
housewife, as it is only necessary to use half the
quantity you would of any other.
In one-pound original packets as packed and
labeled in Ceylon, at
