Polk Chambers, an early pioneer of Oregon died at Siletz Agency on.thu loth day of August. Fourteen persons bathing at Weils beacon, Maine, were swept out by the undertow and drowned last Fri day. Jt is stated that over forty thou sand head of eastern cattle nave been shipped into Moucauu from the east this season, Eugene MoLin was arres'eil for stealing #28 60 at Hillsboro from Fred Lahli.
