Notice is herby given that a dem­
ocratic county convention for Yam­
hill county. Oregon, ishereby
called, to meet at Lafayette. Oregon.
, pa W ednesday , M ay 2, 1888, at 10
«'clock, a. n£, of said day, for the
purpose of «tominating candidates
for the following offices, to-wit:
Two representatives, county clerk,
recorder. sheriff, county treasurer,
assessor. two county commissioners,
county school superintendent, sur­
veyor and coroner, and to transact
such other business as may pçgperly
come before said convention.
Said convention will be composed
of 119 delegates, apportioned to the
various precincts on the vote. cast
for the democratic candidate for
congress at the election of 1886,
being one delegate for each precinct
and one for every ten and a fraction
over six votes so cast. In accord­
ance with said apportionment the
respective precincts will be entitled
to the following representation:
