A joint committee of all the lodges of
the I. O. 0. F. within this county met to­
day at the hall of the order in this place
at 1 o'clock^p. m., to make necessary ar­
rangements for the anniversary cele­
bration on the 26th of April. The com­
mittee was organized by the election of
R. R. Laughlin chairman, and P. P.
Gates secretary. After a short delibera­
tion the committee determined to hold
the celebration at Sheridan, and that an
invitation be extended to all the lodges
in Polk county to join them. Mr. H. F.
Bedwell, of North Yamhill, was ap­
pointed a committee of on4 to secure an

len, of McMinnville, and W. A. Graves,
of Sheridan, were appointed a committee
to secure band music. Messrs. P. P.
Gates and R. P. Ungerman,of Lafayette,
and E. N. Ford, of McMinnville, a com­
mittee to secure vocal music. Sheridan
lodge was directed to appoint the officers
of the day and make up the programme.
A basket dinner will be had at some
