The third grade is studying Indians and made stone hammers, axes, and travois. The first and second grades have made a grocery store. The boys built the store and the girls are decorating and furnishing it. Many pupils have brought bou quets of spring flowers to decor ate the rooms. W e were all glad to see him back. Richard Cole, formerly of Kelso, entered C a s e a d e Locks High School Monday morning, lie is in the freshman class. The carnival was first set for April 7 but as it is Good Friday it has been postponed until the following Friday. April 14. Main attractions are: Bingo, spooks gal lery, penny throw, dart throw, nov elties, eats, confectionery and other games. For prizes, groceries will be awarded to the lucky people. Everyone come and enjoy them selves. The annual has been started and will probably come out early in May. Orders for it are being taken now and deposits paid. Donald Martin of Jefferson High School in Portland was visiting school Wednesday ns the guest of Clayton Kyle. Monday afternoon Dr. Whitman quartet up and presented a pro gram at the High School. They were making a tour through Ore gon while they are having spring vactaion at college. Shirts, with the high school em blem and name, have been ordered by most o f the students in the high school. They are expected to arrive this week. Six weeks examinations were given to the students Thursday and Friday. An hour and a half was allowed for each class.
