A public notice was issued recently
by the Office of District Engineer,
Bonneville District, in regard to the
revocation o f rules and regulations
governing operation o f Cascades
Canal, Columbia River, which stat
ed :
"Th e pool formed by the Bonneville
Dam has flooded the Cascades Canal
and locks at Cascade Locks, Oregon.
The gates o f the locks have been
fastened in open position and the
lock is now inoperative.
"T h e Rules and Regulations ap
proved April 11, 1896,, to govern the
use, administration and navigation of
Cascades Canal, Columbia River,
