given a holiday Monday because of
Washington’s birthday
Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Fraser were
Portland visitors over the week-end.
The Raudenbushes and the Kanz-
lers spent Sunday in Portland.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob White attended
the winter ski tournament at Mount
Hood Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Markwart
spent the week-end at Waldport.
Mrs. F. J. Massey of Tacoma,
Wash., is staying with her daughter,
Mrs. Leo Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Armstrong
spent Tuesday in Portland shopping.
B. H. Cook of Portland stopped at
the Roosevelt inn recently.
Guy Collins spent the week-end in
Portland with his wife.

Wash., was recently a visitor in Bon-
nevile.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nelson of Cas­
cade Locks were guests at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Johnson Fri­
day evening.
Hal Todd, bartender of the com­
munity center, spent Sunday at his
home in Portland.
Archie Cook, who was on the sick
list for several days is up and around
again.
Betty Gordon and Gail Gipson en­
joyed dinner and attended a theatre
in Portland Monday evening as the
guests of Betty’s uncle and aunt,
Mr. and Mrs. William Harrison of
Riverside, California.
Larry Lermo of the Safeway made
a flying trip to White Salmon Sat­
urday evening and returned Sunday
morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Johnson at­
tended a birthday barty at the home
of the Henry Nelsons in Cascade
Locks Tuesday evening.
The P.-T.A., which was to have
had a card party last Friday will
have it instead this Friday at 8 P.M.
at the auditorium.
Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Mikkelson and
Mr. and Mrs. Lanius plan to leave in
the near future for Livermore, Cal­
ifornia where they will reside.
A surprise birthday party was giv­
en Mrs. Chuck Bellarts at her home
Wednesday evening. Those present
were Mrs. Ernest Anderson, Mrs.
Ralph Markwart and Mrs. John
Johnson.
Mrs. Lanius and two daughters
spent the weekend in Portland at the
home of Mrs. F. L. Cooper.
Mrs. Stanley Wells from the east
visited with a few' of her old friends

Mrs. Roy Lusch, Mrs. A. Dun­
can and Mrs. O. H. Johns were lun­
cheon guests Wednesday of Mrs.
Walter McElroy. The afternoon was
spent at cards.
Mr. and Mrs. Dean Condon drove
to Portland on Monday.
