UNION; SEEK MEM8ERS
To the Voters of Cascade Locks:
I have been asked by numerous registered
voters and residents what I intend to do if I am
elected Mayor of Cascade Locks.
I intend to be a booster for our city so as to
bring more people, more business houses and more
industries into the district in ordor that we may be
able to make the different improvements which our
city greatly needs.
These improvements must be gotten without
too heavy a taxation upon the taxpayers now resid
ing in Cascade Locks, however, for I do not believe
in spending one dollar unless I have one more to fall
back on.
I do believe that we should all be cautious
spenders, should meet with each other, resardless of
political policies, and g .t each other’s ideas as to
how to make the dollars go the farthest.
As you all know this city is undergoing difficult
financial circumstances at th present time. We wiil
continue to suffer, though in less quantities, for
some tim?; therefore, we must not expect to have
everything we need and want in a day or two, or
even in a month or two,
I sincerely hope that the voters of Cascade
Locks will not show partiality in casting votes for
aldermen, but will use their very best judgment, just
because it will profit you and your neighbors in the
future, if for no other reason.
, , As the majority of the people know my past
business and personal reputation, I fe I sure that
when I say I will give you justice to the best of my
ability if I am elected, they will know that I am
speaking truthfully, not because it will h' I d me in mv
business, but because I can and will help you in your
business by being an honest, peace-loving mayor
and citizen.
