North Bend — A new all-the-
year CCC camp, to be situated at
Charleston, for the beautification
of Coos head and the elimination
of fire hazard has been approved,
and construction will berln Aug­
ust 30. It will have a personnel
of about 200 men.
Marshfield— A 10 per cent, div­
idend on the commercial deposits
of the Hank of Southwestern Ore­
gon. at Marshfield, Is ordered
This will bring the total dividends
paid to 70 per cent on commercial
deposits. Seventy per cent, has
already been paid on savings ac­
counts.
The Dalles— The Dalles Cham­
ber of Commerce directorate has
decided not to appeal from the
report of army engineers and the
war department approving a sea-
lock at the Bonneville dam but re­
commending against dredging a
ship channel at the time between
Vancouver and the dam.
